PLOT
I'll make her the most desired woman in NY…but that means letting her go.
The Agency was always going to choose Piper-Lily's husband.
Her father's name opened doors, but he needed the money a good match could bring. Turns out, no amount of money was going to fix the Ponzi scheme he was running. Overnight, Piper-Lily went from my most anticipated client to persona non grata.
But she wasn't willing to let her father's mistake ruin her future. Not when she could force her way into my office and offer herself as my little project.
She'll pretend to be my girlfriend until her value is high enough for an auction.
An auction that includes her first time.
So I'll move the little princess into my apartment. I'll take her out and show her off, buy her pretty things to wear.
But when I take them off of her later, I'll have to keep reminding myself that she isn't mine. That the lessons I offer will be used to please another man. That there's a limit to what we can do.
No matter how much she begs for more.

OVERALL VIEW
Piper-Lily's find herself in the spotlight due to her father's embezzlement scandal. Over is her rich lifestyle, her quiet world and her perfect (apparently) family.
Nate is a partner at the matchmaking agency, reluctant to make this deal with Piper when she present herself at his door. After all, she was always meant to be his next pretty thing to sell off to a rich men. That's the deal that her dad made with Nate, before his fall down.
These two have strong chemistry from the start. They form a fake relationship to help Piper's tarnished reputation. She's not willing to give to nobody the real reason why she's doing this, though.Of course, Nate has his own thoughts on why Piper does all this. But the most obvious reason doesn't become so obvious after weeks of sharing the same roof.
Nate's changes in attitudes make that Piper has a hard time gettin used to this new dynamic.
Nate must be willing to overcome his traumas to appreciate what he has or risks losing, what he never imagined he would have and feel.
WHAT I LIKED
I really liked Piper's mother, who for once was not represented as a self-absorbed socialite wife, married to a rich prick. But an understanding woman who rolled up her sleeves when her golden cage disintegrated.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKED SO MUCH
I need to come cleen: i HATE the name "Piper-Lily". Is not an awful name per se, but it was repeated every time the heroin was mentioned.
"Piper-Lily this..." "Piper-Lily that"
Another thingh that i didn't relly liked was that is that, even though it is a dual pov book, it focuses mainly on Piper's pov, leaving a handful of chapters only from Nate's point of view.
I would have liked to find out more about his reasoning and emotions.
