Adaptations of books we'll see in the upcoming years

It Ends with Us (film) 

Let's start with a film based on the book of the same title and written by Colleen Hoover. and which will be released in cinemas in the USA on August 9, 2024. 

The main characters iclude  Blake Lively (Gossip Girl, Adeline...) , Justin Baldoni (Jane the virgin), Brandon Sklenar (1923) , Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj and Amy Morton. (Chicago PD) "I LOVER HER AS TRUDY PLATT!"

Justin Baldoni will produce the film through his company "Wayfarer Entertainment".

 Baldoni, who will play Ryle Kincaid, will also direct the film, and Christy Hall will adapt the screenplay

The film was originally scheduled to be released theatrically in February 2024 and June 2024. 

In June 2023, production had to be temporarily suspended due to the 2023 WGA strike. Just over half of the film was completed when production was halted. Certainly in addition to the strikes, the many criticisms due to the cast also had an influence.

Fallen (Tv seires) 

 Based on the 2009 novel by Lauren Kate.    Previously adapted into a TV series in 2006, starring Paul Wesley, and into a film released in 2016, the series follows Luce, a young woman who is sent to a cult-like rehabilitation facility where she must serve time for a crime she he did not commit. also remember that you are committed.

It will air for the first time on Globoplay on August 12, 2024. Principal photography took place in Budapest over the course of five months.

It was announced that Alexander Siddig (Gotham, Game of thrones),Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), Jessica Alexander (The little marmaid), Gijs Blom and Timothy Innes (The last kingdom) will star in the series as the main cast. 

My Fault - London (film) 

The Spanish-language film  Culpa mía,  adapted the first and second instalment of author Mercedes Ron's "Culpables trilogy"  novels. 

Asha Banks and Matthew Broome (The Buccaneers) will take on the roles of Noah and Nick. Other actors who will be part of the cast are: Ray Fearon (Barbie), Enva Lewis (How to Have Sex), Amelia Kenworthy (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), and Sam Buchanan (Back to Black)

The film will premiere on Prime Video in late 2024 or 2025

We were liars ( TV Series) 

I have already talked about this TV series adaptation (here).

The adaptation of the YA novel written by E.Lockhart sees producers Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie at the helm of the show.

We Were Liars stars: Candice King (The vampire diaries), Shubham Maheshwari, Joseph Zada (Total control), Emily Alyn (The baby sitter) Lind,Esther McGregor, Mamie Gummer (Blood of Zeus), Caitlin FitzGerald

Totally Spies (TV series) 

Based on the French animated series, the project follows college students Clover, Alexa and Sam, three best friends and international spies. 

The project is in development thanks to Amazon MGM Studios and Banijay Kids & Family. Will Ferrell will serve as executive producer

To date, however, there is no cast or crew already hired for the realization of the project. It goes without saying that a date has not yet been set.

In 2017, the names of Dove Cameron, Kiersey Clemons and Katherine McNamara were mentioned for the making of a film about the three spies

A Thousand Boy Kisses (Film)

The best-selling novel is written by  Tillie Cole.

Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wonder,) has been assigned as director, with a script written by Liz Maccie (Siren).

The book remained on the New York Time bestseller list for nearly eight months.
