Inspired by the bestselling novel with the same title and written by Holly Jackson
I'll start by saying that I personally haven't read the book. This is because when several years ago there were rumors of a possible film adaptation, I told myself that I would like to see the series without preconceptions or constantly comparing it to the book, as I had done with Shadowhunters.
Main Cast: Emma Myers (Pip Fitz-Amobi)India Lillie Davies (Andie Bell)
Zain Iqbal (Ravi Singh)
Asha Banks (Cara Ward)
Yasmin Al-Khudhairi (Noemi Ward)
Season 1 ep 1
The first minute, with Andie Bell, was very interesting. Then for about 5/7 minutes it's pretty boring, except for those few seconds where some flashbacks with Andie appear. From the moment Pip decides to start investigating Andie's disappearance, Sal's suicide and who the killer really is, the episode gets interesting. In this first episode, the TV series gave me the vibes that the original PLL gave me back in the day.
Season 1 ep 2
Now that new details are emerging about Andie's life of drugs and betrayal, and new characters are being introduced to the audience, I feel like the series is starting to pick up. De Silva's point of view is very interesting. Besides "PIPPA", I think she was in the woods and is sending warnings to Pip and Sal's brother. Fose is also afraid and that's why she disappeared from the photo.
Season 1 ep 3
I have to admit that when Pip launched the idea of crashing the secret party, I wouldn't have given him much credit. I was surprised by his acting skills in order to get the drug dealer to bring him along, though.
Nice the little game of three questions for £60.
The anonymous message Pip received definitely had PLL vibes! (Shhh)
I am beginning to think that Adie Bell is not really dead, after all, her body was never found, and that the cop either had something to do with the disappearance, or is "older guy"
